Our Day Long Safaris will have our Cub Adventurers carving jungle rafts to be raced down the Amazon River (soap boat carving and rain gutter regatta race).  Then the will be transported deep into the rainforest  jungle to hunt for bush meat just like the Amazonian Indians with Bow and Arrows and poison tipped blow guns.   Then our adventure seekers will be whisked over the ocean to the Congo where they will climb mountains and  swing from vines as they tromp through the jungle obstacle course!  Then a quick flight over to the Serengeti for a big game hunt (with bb guns!).  In the African Savanna the Cubs will learn how to track wild beasts like the Maasai hunters.

For Scouts seeking a longer adventure, two overnight bush camp safari will be offered at Mafiking, South Africa (Camp Klaus) where the founder of Scouting Lord Baden Powell served.  At this bush camp Cubs will go on game hunts with bows and arrow and bb guns. We’ll have a roaring campfire and tell stories of African hunts and sing songs.  The bravest of Scouts will hike deep into the heart of the jungle to discover the rare and mysterious ice cave! And so much more!!!

For the scouts wanting to stay out in the jungle even longer we have a three day adventure with many of the same activities above, but also a chance to work on their scouting skills. This year for the Webelos we will offer the Readyman, Engineer, Scientist, Outdoorsman, Craftsman and Naturalist along with Leave No Trace!
